Student Travel Awards 2017

The Louisiana Section has student travel awards available for the Spring 2017 ACS National Meeting in San Francisco on April 2-6, 2017.  These awards are designed for undergraduates and graduate students who will present their research work at the meeting.

Deadline:  February 20, 2017

Revised Louisiana Section Bylaws

The Bylaws of ACS Louisiana Section was last revised in 1982 and has become outdated. With the help of ACS Constitution and Bylaws Committee (C&B), the Bylaws of ACS Louisiana Section has now been updated. The revised Bylaws of ACS Louisiana Section were sent to the Section members for a vote in June 2014 and approved in July 2014. They were then approved by ACS Constitution and Bylaws Committee. Volunteers Needed

NOBCChE will hold its 41st Annual NOBCChE Conference in New Orleans scheduled for September 26-28. They are looking for volunteers to help out with their STEM weekend. One event will be the STEM festival where they plan to have hands-on activities for children, very similar to Super Science Saturday. The Louisiana Local Section of the ACS needs your help. For the safety workshop (and for many other future events), we need to compile a list of all the local high school chemistry teachers and middle school science teachers. The Louisiana Section of the ACS has six travel awards available for either the Fall 2014 National Meeting in San Francisco (Aug 10-14) or SWRM 2014 (www.swrm2014.org) in Fort Worth (Nov 19-22) or SERMACS 2014 (sermacs2014.org) in Nashville (Oct 16-19).
